TFH®
TARAX-F3'5'H
CONCEPT
Conceived as a diorama, TFH® is a wall sculpture organised around a central niche presenting the fossilised imprint of a bouquet of dandelions, its contours outlined by the flickering glow of neon lights in the background. The sculpture explores how nature has shifted from the status of a "commons" to that of a resource privatised by the mechanisms of the enclosure of the living world.
While the capture of the floral subject operates first and foremost through mimicry, it is heightened by a device that isolates it from its ecosystem and denatures it by imposing commercial codes upon it. Although the title of the work alludes to potential genetic modifications, the absence of any visual trait of biological innovation suggests that the artifice lies in the right claimed to appropriate a genome already present in natural environments.
The transfiguration of the dandelion bouquet motif takes place through a biological process that alters its surface, profoundly changing its symbolism. This biological irruption is accompanied by a systemic failure. The flickering neon is the symptom of a collapsing agro-industrial culture. The instability of the display exposes the artifice of control: the system saturates, and the subject frees itself from its condition as a product.
