CONCEPT

1,2 Kg is a wall sculpture that plays on the contrast between the traditional hunting trophy and the industrial packaging of meat.

By subverting industrial codes, the work creates a cult object that honours the commodity, reveals our devotion and crystallises consumerist mechanisms, in order to question how meat advertising shapes our perceptions, traditions and values.

The transfiguration of the rib of beef takes place through a bio-integration process and tends to assert its biological reality in the face of time. This form endures as a testament to a culture that glorifies and normalises mass consumption, deliberately obscuring its impact on the environment, health and animal welfare.
